Bi-Weekly Build Challenge, Week 101: Lodging with Spirits; Haunted Hotels & Spooky Staycation Spots!

Trick and treat your Sims this Halloween! Sure, haunted hotels are a Hollywood trope and a fixture in spooky childhood tales, but that may just be for a reason. For those that dare, there are properties all over the world that not only receive travelers/guests, but have some... long term residents. Hotels with haunted histories lead the people of their past to stay present – from ghosts that cause chills, spirits that linger, to poltergeists that move things around – haunted hotels, motels, and castles (all 'spirited' overnight establishments), leave their dark pasts behind for the visiting, or rather, the living, to experience for themselves. Guests of these often quite boo-tiful spaces experience thrilling yet chilling stays, claiming spot things such as ghostly figures, swinging chandeliers/hardware, lights that turn themselves on or off, and even furniture that eerily moves on its own. Through a veil of sightings and encounters, your sims will catch a glimpse of the past. What are you waiting for? Go book a room for a ghoulishly good time! For this challenge, we ask that your property has a minimum of 5 bedrooms.

    Key Elements:

    • Spooky, dark atmosphere.

    • Original/vintage furnishings with unique room styles.

    • Historical property with ghost-lore galore! There should be at least one supernatural presence.

Residential, rental, or commercial properties OK. Must be fully functional. (TIP: Consider using cheats to unlock debug/hidden items and to place objects more freely!)

NOTE: Challenges are open for TWO weeks!
