Why are ghosts so terrible?

I personally like to keep my tombstones in legacy, and god I'm about to release their spirits to the netherworld all of them because they suck. They come in my house, at 3 am to break e v e r y t h i n g. Why would my grandma who doesn't have a problem with any of my sims come and break my toilet? My hot tub? She then tries to mop it up, which doesn't work if it's already broken. I get it ghosts are supposed to be mischievous haha funny, but it doesn't make sense why dead family members come in and just break literally anything that can be broken.
TLDR ghosts suck
