    I've been watching a bunch of speed builds and getting pissed off that no one, including the Game Changers that literally built the lots in the world, has even bothered to learn pronunciations for some of the Japanese stuff that comes in Build/Buy. They always have to make some disclaimer that what they're saying probably isn't the correct pronunciation. For most of these people this is their literal job... It just feels so disrespectful. Google is free and it takes like two seconds.

    For context, i live in a middle eastern country. I've been playing the franchise since the sims 1 and it always felt weird seeing my sims walk around the house with shoes on. It's very uncommon here to be wearing shoes inside. We either wear slippers that are only worn in the house or nothing at all. If you have guests over, first thing you usually do is to give them spare slippers you keep for guests. Old women who do weekly gatherings carry their slippers in their bags before they visit their friend. Some people even have different slippers for bathrooms. No shoes thing is not just a japanese culture, it's wider than that and if it was a free update rather than tied to the pack would help people who want some more relatability in the game like me.
