Empty houses. Single elders. No kids in the neighborhood. Why aren’t we fighting for story progression?

    Posted: 06 Sep 2020 07:05 AM PDT

I see so many complaints about not having cars, bunk beds, carpools, diving boards, etc. But I feel like before that, we need to get EA to fix the fundamentals of the game before they give us more "stuff" - does anyone agree? Are we not fighting for this because there are mods out there that solve this?

I really don't want to give in and get the mod because I have a glimmer of hope that this will become reality in the game. Am I being too optimistic?

I can't remember if it was TS2 or TS3 but I remember neighborhoods flourishing with families and townies would actually progress in their careers. Right now, my kids go to school and have no friends because no one is having babies! Also, I'm sick of houses staying vacant because they're suddenly unfurnished. Whats up with that? I don't like spending my time furnishing lots just so someone can (hopefully) move in.

I saw another post about storytelling and I feel like that is tied to story progression. I wish the sims community would fight more for this!
