Current bugs in TS4 making game unplayable

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 06:47 PM PDT

At community lots, NPCs just stand around and do nothing. Night clubs are a joke.

    Constant cake baking.

Digging for snow globes in city living instantly fills fun bar.

Queues dropping constantly for no reason. Random route failures. Sims just not obeying commands 50% of the time. Queueing tasks is impossible, you have to supervise your sims constantly with every action to make sure they do it, making playing multiple sim households impossible.

Outdoor trash cans filling up permanently, forcing you to delete them and buy again.

Military "give orders" home task not fulfilling.

Strangerville listening device bugs permanently stuck on conspiracy theorist sims. Devs claim this is a "feature". Calling bullshit because absolutely no one enjoys this and it doesn't make sense.

If there is a grill on the lot, a sim will ALWAYS be grilling every single time you leave the lot and return. Very annoying and waste of money/electricity.

Dine Out pack is just plain broken in every way.

Freelance Careers are extremely unbalanced, paying waaaay too much for gigs. Work from home tasks are also extremely easy and unbalanced as well.

Mood system needs to be stabilized. Sims should not be cycling through 3 moods in 10 seconds.

Since Eco Lifestyle, sims are sick CONSTANTLY with colds, no matter the environment score. Every 2-3 days a sim in my household comes down with illness.

High chairs just plain broken, unusable.

Sims won't just SIT DOWN and relax, they get up 5 times and play musical chairs for no reason. Refusing to sit when eating, watching tv, watching performance, weddings, etc. They sit up every time to greet a family member with a hug and then won't sit back down.

Get leftovers action causes sims to stand in front of the fridge and eat about 50% of the time, causing route failures for other sims who need to use the fridge. They won't sit down even when commanded until they finish eating.

The AI was so much better on launch, sims could actually make intelligent decisions based on needs. Now they just stand there and do nothing until they piss themselves or pass out. The AI is somehow degrading with each pack.

Pet wellness treat does not do what it says it does.

In city living, NPCs with certain traits can just enter your apartment uninvited. Devs claim this is a "feature" but once again, it's just extremely annoying and no one likes it. It needs to be patched out.

There's SO much more but these are the ones that caused me to quit the game and not touch it again. :/

Does Anyone Think That the Genetics System is Weird?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:28 AM PDT

Zoe Landgraab finally gave birth to her first child with Johnny... and he came out with Johnny's light skin, blonde hair, and turquoise eyes. I had change him to make him look more Anglo-Indian

How do your genetics tend to work out when it comes to Sims with different skin tones and hair colours?

I really miss the weird adventure spinoffs that the Sims franchise used to make for consoles.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 03:38 AM PDT

By that I mean Bustin' out, the Urbz, the Sims 2 PSP/DS/GBA/PS2 etc games. I think they stopped making them after the Sims 2 pets (and even then they had lowered in quality like, drastically). Now it's just Sims 4 for PC, then a watered-down version for Xbox One and PS4 and nothing on Switch.

I have incredible memories with those games, especially the Bustin'out ones for GBA/PS2. I still replay the GBA one at least once per year. Everything was great about them: the graphics were impressive for the GBA, the game had enough content, the characters were fun and the dialogues were hilarious. These games had the same mysterious/weird vibe that the Sims franchise had before Sims 3. I mean, Bustin' out for GBA is litteraly a 16-years old going for a summer vacation at his uncle's farm and then becoming mayor of the town, finding a rocket ship in a barn and going after a mutant rooster who attacks people on sight. It's wild from the beginning to the end. The urbz one was even wilder (do you like bayou vampires, crazy old millionaires having an evil plan to buy the whole town, and time travel? Then the Urbz GBA is for you!), and I'm not even talking about the Sims 2 consoles because it's just "Strangetown: longer, better and uncut".

I can't but think about how great modern games like this would be like on Switch, One or PS4. I would DIE for a new Bustin' out, even a remake would make my year litteraly. I get that releasing Sims 4 for console is probably more lucrative but the day they stopped making these games is, for me, the day where the soul of the Sims franchise died to become the cash grab it is today.
